| Review: | Beware of State Farm Insurance A State Farm insured driver read-ended my vehicle over a month ago. I obtained estimates from 2 reputable body shops in my area. State Farm refused to look at either estimate & will only consider their estimate. It is $900 less than the lowest estimate I obtained. They even want to replace my rear bumper with a bumper currently in a junk yard which is in need of repair. I left my vehicle at the body shop on Monday. Today is Thursday & no one from State Farm contacted me or the body shop. The body shop told me to pick up my vehicle. I had been driving an economy rental car which is NOT comparable to the full-size vehicle I normally drive. I am now driving my vehicle with no rear bumper & frame damage. This accident was NOT my fault but State Farm will not pay what the body shop wants to fix it. This is a backhanded way to force consumers to use their shops. If I want to use my body shop of choice, State Farm says I have to pay the difference. I could go on & on about how horrible this experience has been & how State Farm employees have treated me worse than a dog. Do NOT use State Farm for any reason. |
