Review: I'm covered. State Farm Proves it!
My wife and I arrived in San Antonio, TX (from overseas) in March, 1976. I called five companies for car insurance. Four seemed bothered that I phoned. The fifth—a State Farm agent—asked if he could come to my home after supper. He got our business (car and home insurance) and served us courteously and well.

In 1988 we moved to Canyon Lake, TX. Our current State Farm agent is Bert Powell. Bert (and everyone in his office) answers our questions and advises us quickly, courteously and in great technical depth. On one occasion, I went to buy more insurance and he advised I had enough coverage!!! (Try THAT with any other company!)

State Farm insurance insures our home and our vehicles. Some other insurance company may or may not be a tiny bit cheaper but State Farm has always been there with the best advice and the best service. Most importantly, when we needed their help the most, they always performed superbly. Bert Powell is my agent. State Farm is my insurance company. I can relax—I KNOW I’m covered. Are you?

Review: Beware of State Farm Insurance
A State Farm insured driver read-ended my vehicle over a month ago. I obtained estimates from 2 reputable body shops in my area. State Farm refused to look at either estimate & will only consider their estimate. It is $900 less than the lowest estimate I obtained. They even want to replace my rear bumper with a bumper currently in a junk yard which is in need of repair.

I left my vehicle at the body shop on Monday. Today is Thursday & no one from State Farm contacted me or the body shop. The body shop told me to pick up my vehicle. I had been driving an economy rental car which is NOT comparable to the full-size vehicle I normally drive.

I am now driving my vehicle with no rear bumper & frame damage.

This accident was NOT my fault but State Farm will not pay what the body shop wants to fix it.

This is a backhanded way to force consumers to use their shops. If I want to use my body shop of choice, State Farm says I have to pay the difference.

I could go on & on about how horrible this experience has been & how State Farm employees have treated me worse than a dog.

Do NOT use State Farm for any reason.

Review: Decent insurance
I've had state farm since I was 17 and they've been fairly good. I've had one claim and it took them awhile to pay out (they actually FORGOT to mail the check, I had to call and remind them but they did send it) so in that aspect I really haven't had any problems, but I do believe they are pricey. I've gotten other quotes that give more coverage for less so I might be switching. The other problem I have is that when I called asking about more discounts or if I could change up my discount, they always attempt to sell me life insurance telling ms it will lower my insurance payment. Yea it'll lower my insurance payment but then I'll have to give you an extra 100 or so for that coverage, so how does that really help me? Otherwise I do recommend for the most part.

Review: Nicole DellaPorta
Nicole and her office give exceptional customer service. Donna is very knowlegdeable of the products Sate Farm offers. I have all my lines of insurance with them. They also are very competitive with banking products. I would recommend them to anyone.

Review: Two high quality claims experiences
Before we were married, my wife had two separate claims experiences - one for an accident and one for hail damage. On both claims the claims reps were friendly, prompt and fair.

I don't know if it was an oversight on their part, but they didn't even remove her claims-free discounted rate after the accident claim.

We've kept State Farm after we got married. The rates have been generally competetive although we've seen increases in the past year. May consider getting competetive quotes, but I can't complain about the claims service.

Review: Well-known for NOT paying any claims
This Auto insurance company is well-known for "Sweet" customer service only at the beginning when you submit your money to them for your auto insurance. When it comes to their turn for any claims, they will be RUDE and UGLY. This company just want to give an auto insurance card to fulfill the requirement that you have an insurance coverage. But that's all. Don't ask for your claims, because they will not be nice anymore.
