| Review: | Worst Service Ever I had an accident where my car was considered a total loss. Progressive undervalued my car and the adjuster lied and said I couldn't get an independent assessment. When I argued with him, he started yelling at me and calling my car "that thing." I talked to his supervisor, who didn't care in the least. I then had a meeting with him, where I stood in a shared cubicle for an hour because I was never offered a chair. I guess I made him angry, because it's now been over a month since my accident and I have yet to receive a check. Never use them- they're not that cheap and they like to rip off their customers. |

I'm curious...since you have the legal right to an independent assessment of your vehicle's value why did you cave in and not get one? Granted, it has to come out of your pocket and not theirs...and even then does not mean you will get said value. If they disagree with the independent assessment you then go in to either litigation or arbitration. I have a feeling that you caved in due to needing the money ASAP or something since you obviously were aware of your right to the independent assessment. You caved...you should share some of the blame as Progressive was just doing what they do. It's up to YOU to make sure you get fair treatment. If this happens again realize you don't have to accept anything from them until it goes through either of the above processes (arbitration/litigation). Does it suck Progressive did this to you? Sure...but it sucks even more that you LET them. |
