| Review: | Progressive sucks!!! I have a 1989 Mustang GT Convertible...someone pulled out in front of me and wrecked it! Progressive took my car. They said there was over 3 grand in damage....it could not be titled anymore. What!!! I told em to fix it and I would pay the difference....nope...they told me I could not have my car back! BS....If I had not filed a claim....I could have my car. So why have collision insurance? Progressive sucks!!!! |

Howard, you're old enough to know that insurance companies will "total" a vehicle should the damage exceed a certain percentage of the vehicle's value (not what YOU think the value is, but what black book or whatever says). How old was the GT when it was hit? You left that little important tidbit out. If this happened in 1991 then you may have more merit, but this was in 2008...20 years after the car was built. Quite easy to accumulate enough damage to total it, heck, my 04 grand prix would only need to get hit in the quarter panel again (~$3500 damage) to have it totalled. Secondly if you had not filed a claim then the other person's insurance company would have done the exact...same...thing. You can buy the car back from them if you really want it but they are not going to pay to fix a vehicle that can not be titled. I'm almost half your age and I'm well aware of that fact. Do some homework. |

Had a deer collision on 11/1/09. Was pleased with the fast and courtious service of progressive and the way they handled my claim. Now I find out after I was personally handed a claim check in exchange for the title to my vehicle that a stop payment was on that check and my bank was overdrawn with multiple charges. Agter hours people wondered why I could be mad because it is a mistake and my charges will be taken care of. They said that there were three different checks issued for the amount, two were voided and one is still out. Gee I have no idea where that one is since the check personally handed to me was issued the next week. In the mean time my bank account is minus 900.00. I think that means there was no deal exchange made. A bad check issued for a vehicle. And why am I upset |
