| Review: | Shady Business I had auto insurance with Amica for 1 year. The premium was one of the best deals I could have possibly found, almost $100 less a month than the insurance I had the years prior. Although, I recently received my renewal and my premium went up $300. I had no violations and no changes made. Their Underwriting department could not give me a reason why, they just said that it went up. I'm sorry, I work in auto insurance, it doesn't just "go up", there's always a legitiment reason. I think I'll shop around before I make any decisions, their customer service has always been shady and confusing. I should be able to understand them, I work in the same business, and they confuse me. |

I have been with this insurance for over 15 years for auto coverage. In four occasions I was in Motor vehicle accidents to not fault of my own, but in two occasions they settled and made me a scapegoat of their incompetence. I have learned that they don't stick for you even if you are right. Dissapointing Customer service at times made me feel like leaving. The only reason they kept me the last time was because they did apologized and had a decent rate for inclusion of ou daughter in our policy with a very good rate. Otherwise I questioned the way they follow up on accident claims and the way they keep you informed of the progress of the claims. |
